Portland s Harry Thomas Picture: RYAN ASMAN PORTLAND United defender Harry Thomas is “recovering” from his concussion but will not be rushed back to action, boss Franklyn Clarke has revealed. Promising right-back Thomas, 16, suffered a nasty knock to the head during a collision with Weymouth’s Ahkeem Rose during the Blues’ 6-0 friendly loss last week. Thomas initially walked off the pitch in great discomfort before seeking medical attention. After treatment from Weymouth physio Charlie Kirby and Terras’ midfielder Andreas Robinson, Thomas was airlifted to hospital and thankfully returned home that night. Speaking to Echosport, Clarke said: “He’s recovering. I spoke to his mum and it’s just about patience now, not rushing back – just taking his time.
