Deputies caught up with the suspect on. On highway 17. And on fire his weapon at him. But he got away. Highway 17 was shutdown for hours yesterday causing a major traffic backup. Then, around ten last night police say the suspect entered a womans home and stole her minivan. She alerted later who located that vehicle but it was abandoned. Then this morning a new twist to the manhunt. The vehicle is described as a 2009 silver chevrolet malibu, california license plate number 3qwi051. Officers describe the suspect as hispanic with a thin build and groomed facial hair. And stands about 5 foot 9 inches tall.
