as things progressed and as it became clear these guys were armed to the tee this is the kind of thing that or at least you can get the information these guys were armed to the tee and it was the thing that we want. mike, we are going to get back in a moment and we had interference there. we will go to andrea napolitano now. listening to this and hearing the conflicting reports coming in, even though we got a report from the fbi saying the suspects are not related to the marathon bombing, what do you make of all of this, judge? initially we were prepared to conclude because it looked this way, marianne, that one of the guys they arrested looked like one of the guys from the bosto marathon bombing, but now it seems that is not the case. this is an extraordinary amount of fire power for people to be in a low-level
miles from where that bombing happened at the end of the race of the boston marathon, so from the very beginning, people were speculating, as far as whether or not it could be connected. that is something that we have not confirmed independently. but there are local reports saying that this could be related. that is something that we need to confirm. they are looking for one suspect. people in the area are reporting that this is a very intense time police in the air, on the ground, trying to find this person right now because they do know that they are heavily armed. for some insight on this case, we are joined by judge andrea napolitano. caller: i m in d.c., so i am watching this along with everybody else. good morning to you. good morning. caller: always a pleasure to be with you, no matter what we are talking about.
0 remove. the eod, the boston police folks went in to so we presume that s what that is. i will tell you another interesting thing that i have not seen at the m.i.t. campus that i did see here was a senior fbi agent that we have seen here at the boston marathon, came to get in his car. i asked him off camera if he could talk to me. he didn t say a word. he went to the trunk of his car, retrieved a bullet-proof vest and went right back to the crime scene. now i am with the rest of the media, pushed back, about three, three and-a-half, four blocks from where we initially saw the police took that suspect to. again, didn t resist when i was drawing on him. he sort of surprised the police when he came from behind us on the hill and laid down. we are hearing a lot it sounds like a lot of commotion in the backgrown. what s going on there? reporter: right now, they are trying to bring in more police cars. they brought in a very large some sort of boston police special operations divi
0 fbi. they are saying that the suspect that was taken into custody after the initial shooting at m.i.t., where an officer was gunned down and killed. he is not one of the bombing suspects from the boston marathon. but again, this is constantly changing and the fbi says, those are the facts right now. tobin, if we could. did you hear what we were talking about as far as the fbi saying that the suspects are not considered one of the bombing suspects? yes, it is interesting. in terms of the police presence that we are seeing out here, when we do have an officer who is shot, are you going to get a big response from the police. you will get a multi agency response and the police will come out with heavy arms. we have seen that across the board. we have a very fluid situation out here, and it appears to have multiple hotspots. the one thing that is inconsistant is the fact that they are arms to the tee. that is not consistent with a simple robbery. you have a situation that developed on t
