You wrote truth, truth to power and necessary words. I agree that it’s disconcerting to see press secretary Kayleigh McEnany with a cross from a chain around her neck because most of her words are untruths, exaggerations, and lies. I do not begrudge her the freedom to express her religious beliefs, I do take issue with the hypocrisy of it.
She speaks for an administration that does not follow Christian teachings, in my opinion, or any of the world’s religions’, for that matter. I was reminded of the Christmas Story that our father told us, gathered around the tree on Christmas Eve. My siblings and I listened to him tell the story of the birth of a baby in a land far away and how that baby grew up to be a radical prophet of peace and non-
