0 latest in the weather center. states from illinois and indiana hit really hard. how many reports of tornadoes did we see yesterday. 68 tornadoes in states like illinois, indiana and even across portions of ohio. we received over 300 reports of damaging winds. basically winds in excess of 50 miles per hour. what happened yesterday we had the strong cold front pushing eastward and basically you have warm air east of cold fronts behind it you have colder air. it really starlints to produce e retation in the storms. that is what does produce these tornado touchdowns. this particular outbreak could go down in the record book as one of the top five worst tornado outbreaks in history for the months of november. it is unusual seeing this kind of activity during fall time typically we see the activity during the spring months with warm air ahead of it. we have a thunderstorm watch early this morning across parts of the northeast. we had severe thunderstorm warning north of the new york city a
