Road traffic in some parts of Mumbai was affected and local train services slowed down to some extent on Friday morning as moderate to heavy rains continued to lash the metropolis and its suburbs, officials said.
The Andheri Subway was shut down due to waterlogging on Wednesday and Thursday as well after nearly 2 feet of water filled the area due to heavy downpours
Friday was yet another horrific day for them with the whole traffic situation being disrupted apparently due to heavy rains, but actually due to pothole-filled roads, water logging and poor infrastructure.
Moderate to heavy rains continued to lash Mumbai and its suburbs on Friday, which hit the road traffic in some parts due to waterlogging but boosted levels in lakes providing water to the city, officials said.
