Kevin and Jan Magnussen to race together at Le Mans

Kevin Magnussen will team up with his father, Jan, for the 2021 Le Mans 24 Hours, with the two driving an LMP2 car.
After being dropped by
Haas, K-Mag joined the IMSA Sportscar Championship for 2021, signing with Chip Ganassi Racing.
One of the things he has spoken of being keenest to do going forward is to compete in the iconic race at Le Mans, and he stated back in December that his dream was to be able to do so alongside his dad, who has entered it every year since 1999 and was part of Corvette’s line-up from 2004 to 2019.

Formula 1 test and reserve driver Robert Kubica has ruled out remaining in the DTM and is instead targeting a full-time move into the LMP2 prototype class.
Kubica, who drove an ART-run BMW in the DTM in 2020, suggested that racing a GT3 car after the championship s switch away from Class 1 touring car rules would be incompatible with his F1 role with Alfa Romeo, which will continue for a second season in 2021.
Speaking from the Daytona 24 Hours where he will make his P2 debut with the High Class Racing squad, Kubica said: GT3 is good racing, but it is a completely different way of driving.

Formula 1 race winner Robert Kubica will make his first start aboard a prototype in this month s Daytona 24 Hours with the High Class LMP2 squad.
The Alfa Romeo F1 reserve driver, winner of the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix with BMW Sauber, will drive an ORECA-Gibson 07 for the Danish squad in the IMSA SportsCar Championship opener on 30/31 January.
He will share the car with fellow DTM refugee Ferdinand Habsburg and team regulars Anders Fjordbach and Dennis Andersen. This is a new challenge and experience for me, as I have been focusing mainly on sprint races in the past, said Kubica, whose 2020 DTM campaign with privateer BMW squad ART yielded a single podium finish at Zolder.
