ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - That was a rough one, to say the least. Widely seen as one of the worst years in recent memory, 2020 is officially over. It’s hard to look past everything that went wrong, but at the end of the year, it wasn’t all bad for many people. Popular Searches Anchorage Downtown Partnership’s drive-in New Year’s Eve festivities checked all the boxes for a ringing in a new year with live music streamed on Facebook and over the radio, to-go specials from local restaurants, and a solid fireworks display. The only downside was the traffic to exit the parking lots and garages that filled up with spectators happy to still have something to do to celebrate.
