A DEDHAM care home has scooped top prize in a national award which celebrates excellence in care provision. Residents and the care team at Blackbrook House care home, in Gun Hill, celebrated winning the ‘large residential care provider of the year’ award last week. The LaingBuisson Awards honour and celebrate industry excellence in the UK health and social care services. For the second year in a row, Anchor Hanover, who run the home, was recognised nationally for its excellence in providing residential care for older people and its focus on innovation and engagement with residents. The judges cited Anchor Hanover’s use of Memoride, a virtual cycling platform for older people, was a key, and impressive, factor in their decision.
