Ames Public Library notes: Wanna make something of it?

2020 has been a rough year, there’s no doubt about it. And this winter is not really getting any better. Most evenings are long, dark and quiet. There are no more fireflies to chase, no more flowers to tend. COVID keeps us home when we’d rather be out taking a class or pursuing a hobby with friends. And you can only watch screens for so long! Under these conditions, it can be particularly gratifying to make something to actually create something with your hands, something that’s three-dimensional, colorful, and an actual expression of who you are and what you like. Ready to make something? The library can get you started in a multitude of ways!
