played dead. do we know at this point if she is going to be okay, apart from the fact that there may be neurological damage, and is she going to be coming out of the surgery okay? is she one of the critical, jean? we don t know the condition, ashleigh, but the family wanted it out, because her brother a student at the same school and called her on the floor, and the medical attention had not come yet, and she said, i am shot in the back and i can t feel my legs. oh, god, imagine the call from her brother. jean casarez with just astounding detalils. thank you for, that and continue to update us when you learn more about anastasia and the others as well. we are also just moments away as i said official update from the sheriff s office, and we are getting the periodic updates to the investigation, and the
rifle and that survivor anastasia boyland who spoke to her father before surgery said it appeared that he was reloading a handgun before shooting some of the students who before he shot them he asked them if they were a christian, and if they said yes, he said something along the lines that, well, good, you are going to meet your god in about a second and shot them one by one. chilling indeed. ana, live coverage of the news conference coming up momentarily. and i want to go to the pentagon very quickly to the pentagon to barbara starr who has information on the brief stint in the u.s. army. moments ago the army confirmed that briefly the gunman did serve in the u.s. army as a recruit. what the army is telling us is that from november 5th through december 11th, 2008 he was in
background and possible motive. brian todd is here in the situation room. what are you finding out? new details moments ago, wolf mentioned a possible motive, possibly other motives for this shooting. in addition to new information about the gunman s actions as he entered at least one classroom. he entered the classroom firing. said he d been waiting to do this for years. then shot a professor point-blank. that s according to to what survivor anastasia boyland told her father who said the gunman seemed to want to deliver a message. my anna said he gave somebody a box. gave somebody a box, one of somebody who lived. i don t know. and said you got to deliver this. reporter: it s not clear tonight what was in the box, but law enforcement officials tell cnn the shooter handed his writings to a survivor. writings saying he was frustrated with not having a girlfriend and being a virgin. according to boyland he also singled out christians during the rampage, but none of that
