Tension gripped the villages of Kharkhari and Behrakudar in Dhanbad district due to a clash over power supply from the BCCL feeder. Villagers from Kharkhari disconnected power supply to Behrakudar, leading to a confrontation. Police intervened to control the situation and are filing FIRs against the involved parties.
The police on Monday detained a teenage girl following a complaint by her in-laws that she killed her 18-year-old husband during a fight over her wearing jeans, an officer in Jharkhands Jamtara district said.
Jharkhand: She loved to wear jeans but her husband did not like that. The tribal couple quarrelled frequently over the issue since their marriage around four months ago.
