The Community Compact Cabinet’s Information Technology grant program recently announced that the city of Melrose had been awarded a $100,000 grant to implement a data and productivity project across city departments.
This competitive grant program is targeted at rewarding proposals which utilize technology to create innovations at the municipal level.
“Making sure that we are using data to drive our decision making, and sharing the stories of the work we do for and with residents each day are critical pieces of what I hope to achieve as mayor,” said Melrose Mayor Paul Brodeur. “In a city like Melrose with limited resources, we always have to find ways to work smarter and more creatively. Technology allows us to accomplish that.”
