Software provider Genetec ranked second as the fastest-growing access control software provider globally, two notches up from fourth place in 2019, according to a report by research organisation Omdia.

The report shows Genetec outranked traditional access control vendors, and claimed the number two position globally (climbing from 4th in 2019).
“While the global access control software market was hard hit by the pandemic and declined in 2020, Genetec grew by more than 30% globally, gaining ground in both the Americas region and becoming a top 10 vendor in Europe, Middle East, and Africa,” notes Omdia physical security analyst Bryan Montany.
