Generalitat and hoteliers will negotiate the reopening of establishments
The Generalitat and the hoteliers have agreed to negotiate the way in which they will begin to reopen their establishments once the current restrictions are lifted. The Department of Health has reported the creation of a working party to discuss proposals prior to their introduction during the next de-escalation plan.
The first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 16 at 4.30 p.m., and will be attended by the Minister of Health, Ana Barceló, and the regional secretary for Tourism, Francesc Colomer, along with representatives of the sectors involved.
The hospitality industry in the entire Valencian Community has been closed since 21 January, except for take away meals, or in the service areas of the communication routes.

Barceló says that the British strain is minimal in the Community
The Regional Minister of Health has also ruled on possible restrictions on upcoming festivals such as Fallas and Easter
The Minister of Health, Ana Barceló, explained on Tuesday that the British strain of coronavirus has only a minimal presence in the Community.
In an appearance to update the situation in the Community and to report on irregularities in the vaccination of politicians and officials who were not in the priority vaccination groups, the minister explained that the British strain is not influencing the number of infections that are being seen at the moment by Health.

Report warned months ago of problems with field hospital
It has taken ten months to open the three field hospitals whose launch was first announced by the President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, on 19 March 19 last year.
Puig announced that the three facilities, with over 1,100 beds, would be available for use within 15 days, sa statement that was ratified by the Minister of Justice, Gabriela Bravo the very next day.
The emergency contract was signed by the Valencian Security Agency with High Technology Developments, a subsidiary of Hispano Vema. The cost, about four million euros plus equipment. However the company is now claiming 15.5 million for extra costs and modifications from the Generalitat, says owner José Navarro.

Valenciaâs Consell bans all gatherings at home
On Sunday the Consell announced new restrictions for the Valencian Community which come into force on Monday 25 January.
Meetings at home are limited to 6 people but they must be from the same household while in public areas a maximum of 2 people may get together from different households.
Thus, the president of the Generalitat has now announced the new measures that will come into force tomorrow, Monday, from their publication in the DOGV, until February 15:
Meetings are limited to cohabitants in private households and to two people in public spaces who may be from two different households.
