Nancy is a Registered Early Childhood Educator at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Port Elgin.
She says an ECE does not go through the same education and training as a regular teacher.
Nancy says her job is to help young children develop learning habits so they can understand what is being taught.
She says she knew at an early age that she wanted to work with children and get into the teaching field
Nancy often works with teacher Amy Shute in the French immersion Kindergarten class and says Amy is a great person to work with.
She says they have developed a wonderful partnership throughout the years and you need to have that in order to work in tandem with someone in kindergarden.
