CADIZ The village of Cadiz has been awarded $616,402 in grant funding toward a sidewalk improvement project.
Cadiz Mayor John Migliore said the village secured the funds through the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Transportation Alternatives Program a program that provides funding for infrastructure improvement projects.
“I wanted to share some good news with the community. Last Friday I got word from OMEGA (Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association) that the TAP grant that we applied for last year has gone through,” he said during Thursday’s evening council meeting.
The funding will go toward a $733,190 sidewalk improvement project along portions of U.S. 250 and Ohio 9. The $116,730 balance will come from the village’s Tax Increment Financing, he said.
