Reader troubled by Moolenaar s attachment to Trump

To the editor:
In the past week, there have been several letters to the editor criticizing Rep. John Moolenaar for signing the amicus brief supporting the Texas attorney general’s lawsuit against Michigan, asking for an explanation, and requesting an apology.
I attended Hope College with John, in fact we were in the same biochemistry class. And Amy Moolenaar and I went to the same high school, we even had mutual friends. I know that deep down, they are good people but what I find very troubling is their attachment to President Trump and John’s disregard for Michigan voters with this action.
