Anamosa
At the Wapsipinicon Country Club April 8, the logo and theme for Anamosaâs RAGBRAI overnight stop July 29 was announced: âSize Matters and We Like it Big.â
âAnamosa is sort of known in the RAGBRAI community for being a fun place to come, and we always come up with fun logos and fun shirts,â RAGBRAI Chair Betty Weimer said.
The theme leans into the cityâs history with the GIANT Pumpkin Weigh Off and the popular âGod Bless Americaâ sculpture that the funds from RAGBRAI will go toward getting back full time after it left in 2019.
âWe just wanted to have fun with it,â Anamosa Chamber of Commerce Executive Director LeeAnna Boone said of the big theme.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Letâs meet our newest member of KJâs Kids, where local students shine in STEM.
Meet 5th grader Zymoni Walter from Bettie F. Williams Elementary. She s shooting for the stars and over the moon with her STEM project. She built a space craft habitat set to launch for a mission on the moon.
Zymoni s teacher, Amy Keltner, says the idea stems from a goal of NASA to make a lunar base to research the moon s surface and become a hub to lift off other planets.
âMy lunar habitat has about four to five rooms, and in different rooms you have different rooms like a greenhouse, workout rooms, entertainment room and bathroom,â said Zymoni.
