reporter: major anthony brown, a high-ranking member of baltimore s police force have had his police powers taken away. while the department investigates how his personal weapon wound up in the office. a prominent and politically- connected businessman, ramos, who owns the business in southeast baltimore. according to this police report, wjz obtained, ramos reported a .38-caliber resolver revolver stolen. he gave the serial number and they trace today back to brown. how did it end up back here is what we want to know. there are strict reporting guidelines. and violations can carry big fines. but ramos wife said the gun did not belong to her husband. she said they felt it was their civic duty to report the gun. the gun was never sold, no money ever exchanged hands, but the major kept it on the property and was a frequent visitor. she told me, it s unfortunate, and we didn t want the gun to end up in the wrong hands. reporter: major brown had special ops, includi
