Henderson County News: Garden Jubilee returns to Main Street today

Henderson County Life: Main Street will be well-stocked for Garden Jubilee

The new hybrid approach in 2021 incorporates a downtown street show as one of 16 stops on the tour. The overall tour takes place Friday to Sunday, May 28-30, while the Main Street event happens Saturday and Sunday only. The return of Main Street features a reduction in the number of vendors and a tripling of space between booths. Cider, Wine & Dine Weekend: Tastings, music, yoga, food trucks & more on tap From staff reports After a year’s departure due to the pandemic, Hendersonville’s Cider, Wine & Dine Weekend returns April 15-18. The four-day event welcomes visitors to drink, eat and celebrate the area’s wine and cider scene. TDA hosts holiday display contest for merchants and homes in Hendersonville, Henderson County

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is throwing a wrench into many holiday plans, but it’s doing nothing to stop businesses and homeowners across the country from lighting up stores and front yards with elaborate holiday displays to spread cheer.  The Henderson County Tourism Development Association is hosting holiday decoration contests for both downtown Hendersonville and homes across the county in the Home Holiday Decoration Contest and Henderson County Merchant Decoration Contest. “People need something this year,” said Amy Boswell, events coordinator with TDA. This is the first year the TDA has added homes to the competition, and they’re already taking off.
