The Prime Minister says many people are going to hard pressed accident and Emergency Departments because they cant get gp appointments. Hospitals have faced a Winter Crisis like none before. Unprecedented pressure in the new year led almost half to declare a major alert with doctors warning that Patient Safety was being compromised.
