Electric mobility company Ampere Electric has announced phased investment of ₹ 700 crore over the next 10 years, to set up a world class e-mobility manufacturing plant in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu. Ampere Electric, the wholly owned electric mobility subsidiary of Greaves Cotton Private Limited, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Tamil Nadu. The planned Ranipet manufacturing facility, with an area of 1.4 million square feet, will be on the largest state-of-the-art e-mobility manufacturing plants in the country.
