Among the speakers taking part in Wednesday's General Session at the Palm Beach County Convention Center were Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nunez and Florida Emergency Management Director Kevin Guthrie.
The Florida Gaming Control Commission announced on Tuesday that they shut down gaming sites in Hillsborough, Palm Beach, Pinellas and St. Lucie counties.
Those taking part will present lessons learned from last year's season, which saw Hurricane Ian devastate portions of Florida's Gulf Coast. The storm was thought to have been a Category 4 hurricane, but was recently upgraded to a Cat five by the National Hurricane Center.
