The Ebonyi State Government, Friday described the statement issued by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan as “most disgraceful and disappointing”.
The Party had in its press statement issued in Anuja accused the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in Ebonyi State of masterminding the killings of her members in the State.
Reacting to the development, the State Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji stated that “We hold that PDP’s style of gambling with allegations and trumping up criminal accusations is a clear manifestation of their servitude to falsehood.”

Ebonyi govt absolves self from phantom kidnap

Ebonyi state government has disassociated itself from an alleged abduction of a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, personnel in the state, Mr Ogbonnaya Amos.
Amos has however made an appearance in Enugu, during the weekend.
The state Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Uchenna Orji in a reaction to the state PDP’s indictment of the state government in the incident said that Amos was being hunted by his past.
Orji said it was unfortunate that some stalwarts of PDP in the state resorted to dirtier intrigues in their desperate but regrettable move to run down the name of Governor David Umahi and the image of the state government.

Even when the whereabout of Barr. Amos Ogbonnaya is still unknown following his abduction on Thursday by gunmen at his country home when he was coming back from a PTA meeting he chaired, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressive Congress (APC) have never stopped accusing each other of masterminding the abduction of the former coordinator.
Barr. Amos Ogbonnaya is the Legal Adviser to the former 64 Development Centers coordinators that petitioned the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) on 11th January 2021, alleging that governor David Umahi-led government diverted the Ebonyi local government funds of 6,756,800,000.00 (six billion, seven hundred and fifteen six million, eight hundred thousand).
