National Inter-Faith Movement has called on security agencies to arrest Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, and have him explain his relationship with bandits involved in the kidnap of hapless Nigerians in the northern part of the country.
The investigation and subsequent arrest of a controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, will end the spate of banditry and insecurity in Northwest Nigeria, the National Inter-Faith Movement has said. According to the inter-faith group, Gumi must explain his relationship with bandits following the arrest of his media consultant and ally, Tukur Mamu. Mamu, a newspaper publisher was recently arrested at Cairo International Airport in Egypt while on his way to Saudi Arabia.
