[아이뉴스24 신지훈 기자] 마켓컬리가 사업 영역 확장에 집중하는 모양새다. 마켓컬리가 신선식품을 넘어 가전·여행 등으로 카테고리를 확장하고 나선 것은 지금의 마켓컬리를 있게 한 800만 회원들의 니즈가 반영된 영향이다. 상품군의 확장은 자연스레 마켓컬리의 외형 확대로 이어졌고, 이를 토대로 마켓컬리는 연내 기업공개(IPO)에 나설 방침이다.
4일 업계에 따르면 마켓컬리가 여행 상품군을 강화하고 나섰다. 최근에는 인터파크투어를 신규 호텔 상품 공급사로 선정했다. 인터파크투어로부터 10개 안팎의 소수 상품을 공급 받아 판매할 것으로 알려졌다. 여행 카테고리 경쟁력 확보를 위해 공급사를 늘린 것으로 풀이된다.
