Goals from Cemal Ramadan, Amon Walton Owen (pictured) and a trialist saw Town’s U18s to a 3-0 victory over Colchester United in a behind closed doors home friendly earlier today.
The Blues U18s comfortably won their annual friendly against Southwold Town on the Common 7-0 on Friday evening. Josh Fagbohan, George Clarke, Jack Willbye (pictured), Cemal Ramadan (2), Omar Sowunmi and Shane McLoughlin scoring the goals.
Town s U18 side fell to a 4-1 home defeat against Crewe Alexandra at Playford Road on Saturday morning with Irish winger Cory Galvin netting for the young Blues.
Town U18s coach Gerard Nash says tonight’s FA Youth Cup third round tie against Sunderland at Portman Road is a big occasion for his boys (KO 7pm). The young Blues will be taking the first step on a path which they hope will ultimately see them emulate previous Town youth sides who won the tournament in 1973, 1975 and 2005.
