Do pięciu lat potrwa budowa nowego Muzeum i Miejsca Pamięci na terenie byłego niemieckiego nazistowskiego obozu pracy i koncentracyjnego Plaszow w Krakowie.
Teren byłego niemieckiego nazistowskiego obozu Plaszow
Na początku 2021 r. Muzeum KL Plaszow formalnie rozpoczęło działalność jako miejska instytucja kultury. Zadaniem nowej placówki jest realizacja inwestycji prowadzącej do otwarcia muzeum oraz praca badawcza i edukacyjna na rzecz upamiętnienia ofiar KL Plaszow.
Miejsce upamiętnienia będzie zajmować około 40 hektarów. Znajdują się tam szczątki ofiar obozu, trzy miejsca masowych egzekucji i pochówków, pozostałości dwóch cmentarzy żydowskich, relikty obozowej infrastruktury, zarysy baraków obozowych i dawny plac apelowy.
