Lee Jiau Jiunn s appointment as CEO of AmMetLife Insurance Bhd will take effect on April 1.
KUALA LUMPUR: AmMetLife Insurance Bhd (AmMetLife) has announced the appointment of Lee Jiau Jiunn as its chief executive officer effective April 1,2021.
Lee, who is currently the chief financial officer of AmMetLife, succeeds Ramzi Toubassy, who will leave to pursue an external opportunity, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
Lee joined AmMetLife after 14 years with AIA in Malaysia and Taiwan. Prior to this, he held actuarial roles in both the Malaysia and New Zealand insurance sectors.
MetLife’s regional head of Bangladesh, Malaysia, Nepal and Vietnam, Elena Butarova, said: “With his deep knowledge of the company and extensive experience of the industry, Lee is the right executive to continue to lead AmMetLife’s transformation into a company that is continually innovating to meet customer expectations.”
