Class act? Not quite
With the state government restarting Vidyagama in a fresh avatar and planning to start
offline classes for Class 10 and IInd PU from January 1, schools are mulling over the measures needed to make this a success. Experts feel that it resuming offline classes so soon would be catastrophic unless the vaccine has significantly reduced
covid caseload.
Many parents are still apprehensive about sending kids to school. Sreeja S, a parent, said, “I am a teacher and I have to go to the campus to teach.
However, as a mother, I feel that it is still not the time to send kids to school, until the vaccine has reduced the number of covid cases. Even if schools reopen, the choice of online learning should be there.”
