Pleas filed on behalf of non-existent persons at Allahabad HC, CBI starts probe
The writ petitions were filed in connection with the courses being run in a private agriculture deemed university and also the appointments made at several levels in the same institution.

LUCKNOW: The special crime branch unit of the CBI in Lucknow registered an FIR late on Thursday night in connection with 26 writ petitions filed on behalf of dead or non-existent persons in the Allahabad High Court.
The FIR was lodged against RB Lal, J Nagar, Amit Negi, Gulab Chandra, and several other unidentified persons for criminal breach of trust, dishonesty, forgery for purpose of cheating. In June 2017, the Deputy Registrar of Allahabad HC, KK Yadav had filed a police complaint in this regard and an FIR was lodged therein.

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], January 13 (ANI): Ahead of the first phase of the COVID-19 vaccination drive from January 16, the first batch of 1,13,000 doses of Covishield vaccine from Serum Institute of India (SII) arrived at Dehradun airport on Wednesday.
The Dehradun Airport Director, DK Gautam in a statement said that the vaccine containing 1,13, 000 doses were received by Dr. K S Martolia, Assistant Director, National Health Mission, Uttarakhand.
Later in the day, while addressing a press conference here, Amit Negi, Health Secretary of Uttarakhand said that the first batch of 1,13,000 doses of Covishield vaccine reached at Dehradun airport at 2:45 pm.

A landslide obstructed “Chardham Yatra” in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district in which around 2,000 people were stranded. Now, reports say that 800 have resumed their onward journey and work is on to clear the debris.
The Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway was closed near Vishnuprayag, one of the five confluences of Alaknanda river, between Joshimath (also known as Jyotirmath) and Badrinath, the famous pilgrim spot in the hill state.
