The Punjab and Haryana High Court has virtually banned the use of coloured lights by vegetable and fruit vendors in the city. Justice Rajbir Sehrawat of the High Court has directed that only “white” light would be used before asking the UT Administration to step in.

According to Israel Antiquities Authority, the treasure trove was discovered on August 18 by some teenagers who volunteered at an excavation site where a new neighbourhood is being built.
The identity of the owner is still a mystery but the investigation has revealed the area where the clay vessel was found once housed workshops. It is believed the person who hid the coins was hoping to retrieve them as the vessel was secured with a nail. The person who buried this treasure 1,100 years ago must have expected to retrieve it and even secured the vessel with a nail so that it would not move. We can only guess what prevented him from returning to collect this treasure, excavation director Liat Nadav-Ziv was quoted by Reuters.
