The International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) in Nigeria has condemned the killing of one of their colleagues, Mrs Omobolanle Raheem, by a Nigerian police officer in Lagos State. SaharaReporters had reported how Raheem was killed while she was returning home from a Christmas service at Ajah Under-bridge on Sunday. Ajah is a popular area in Lagos, along the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
FIDA in a release obtained by SaharaReporters added that the sensitisation was also to tackle issues such as; child and early forced marriage, trafficking in persons’ prevention and response strategies.
