Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice including a late winner as Arsenal qualified for the last 16 of the Europa League on Thursday with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Benfica in the home leg of their relocated tie in Greece.
The Gabon striker put Arsenal ahead at the Karaiskakis stadium in Piraeus following a 1-1 draw in the first leg, which was played in Rome due to Covid-19 travel restrictions between Portugal and the United Kingdom.
Coach Fatai Osho has expressed confidence over Enyimba becoming the first Nigerian club to win the CAF Confederation Cup.
The two-time African champions are in a tough-looking Group A alongside Orlando Pirates of South Africa, Algeria’s Entente Sportive Setif and Al Ahli Benghazi from Libya.
Enyimba qualified at the weekend when they pipped Nigerian rivals Rivers United 5-4 on penalties after the two-legged tie finished 1-1 on aggregate.
‘The People’s Elephant’ open their group campaign at home on March 10 against Ahli Benghazi.
“It’s a tough group, I believe none of the teams is comfortable with this pairing,” admitted Osho, who calls his own brand of football “Sugar Football”.

A cholera outbreak has killed 55 people affected by a jihadist violence since the end of last year in northern Mozambique, UNICEF said Wednesday.
Nearly 5,000 cases of cholera have been reported, especially among hundreds of thousands of civilians living with host families and in makeshift accommodation in camps for internally displaced people.
Last week saw the highest jump of more than new 400 cases, UNICEF spokesman Daniel Timme told AFP.
“It doesn’t look good. The water and sanitation facilities are not sufficient at the moment and need urgent upgrades,” he said.
“This is our absolute priority for now because the survivors of this violence now have the threat of water-borne diseases,” he added.
