specifically spoke about tough times that americans are facing, tell us more about what he had to say? well, the president says the economy is quote, growing again, but that too many families cannot make ends meet. in his weekly radio address, the president said although the unemployment rate, quote, has dropped below 10% for the first time since summer, it s still unacceptbly high and too many americans still cannot find work. jamie, you remember the january unemployment rate fell just below 10% to 9.7%. and the president is urging congress to create a small business lending fund. what exactly would that do? right. he wants congress to pass legislation creating a small business lending fund using 30 billion dollars in bailout money, paid back to the government by big banks. that money would go to help smaller community banks lend to small businesses. and here is more from the president on that. government can t create these businesses, but it can give entrepreneurs the support
