does it for me. thank you for watching. right now american voices with alicia menendez. thanks so much, reverend sharpton. hello everyone i m alicia menendez. this week seeing a president of the united states arraigned on federal criminal charges. today, a bombshell prediction from trump s former attorney general, saying that his former boss is quote, toast. we ll have that in just a second. trump s arraignment will go down on tuesday in miami, facing a judge and 37 counts of classified documents mishandling. today, trump announcing that he will deliver remarks about his arraignment in miami. and his on tuesday evening. the indictment, the united states versus donald j trump and trump s aid, an alleged coconspirator, laying out a damning case. 31 counts for violating the espionage act, as far as willful retention of national defense information. the lies of a which meant spewing from trump and the elected republicans who have anointed themselves his backup singers. one me
that s coming just days after trump s arraignment in miami. is that the split screen we re going to be watching for the next few months as we try to project ahead to what this general election could look like? 100%, alicia. that s what we are going to be seeing going forward. if democrats and especially biden in his presidential campaign is smart about it i think we re at right now what we are seeing even in the past few days and even in the past few hours today with trump speaking out after hearing from his former attorney general bill barr speak about how this is a damning indictment and how bad this is and how this is not trump being a victim. everything that barr said is what republicans are probably not going to be saying. so if democrats are smart here it s going to be the point of underscoring how bad this is. i think right now we are looking at where american stand when they think about this indictment. there is some confusion here there s of course an overwhelming amount of
i think what you have in san francisco is this. the odd bedfellows of political money, as well as parents who are angry. they are not angry about the normal things that you sort of see populating the news. they are not angry about books in schools, not angry about critical race theory. there actually have a conversation on equity and how we make sure that the schools are equitable. they feel like these three particular board members, are not on the side of equity. they would rather spend time renaming schools then actually dealing with the issues that matter to parents, which is how do we create equitable learning for all students. now, with that being said, i think what you have happening around the country is a conversation about how we deal with public education. i have always said this and i will continue to say this. before we sort of jump to conclusions on where the majority of american stand, i think it s real important that all parents come all parents no matter the race or the
