<p>Lindsey Jacobellis won gold in the women's snowboardcross early Wednesday morning, marking the first gold medal for the United States. With the win, Jacobellis, 36, became the oldest American woman to win gold at the Winter Olympics in any sport.</p><p></p><p>It was another tough day for Mikaela Shiffrin in Beijing. For the second time in three days, the two-time Olympic champion failed to finish her first run, missing a gate in the women’s slalom. She also skied out in the first run of the giant slalom on Monday.
