Reporter good evening to you from miamidade county, a hundred miles or so from where irma made landfall, even here we are seeing powerful, powerful winds that havent let up for hours. Hurricane irma bore down on naples, florida, blasting the city with powerful winds and torrential rain. Irma first made landfall after 9 00 this morning in the florida keys, then took aim at the mainland. In miami, construction cranes proved no match for the wind. And water flooded streets downtown. The city avoided a direct hit, but the sheer size of the storm means it is still a threat. Reporter millions of floridians are impacted by the storm, this is a life threatening situation.
