Not just for the Democratic Party before the country. I had been a democrat in my College Years and shortly thereafter. I became more conservative over time before becoming a republican joining breitbart and so forth. Even then i have an empathy for the utopian thinking that left does. Im not a utopian myself but i do think that Many Democrats and they went to make the world better and what struck me about the direction of the Democratic Party is it is taking the party in such an extreme direction it risks falling over the cliff pulling the rest of the country with us. To see that leftwing government mismanaged the country and with the lessons of that experiment experience very prominent to guiding politics and i see the american left making some of the same mistakes whether identity politics
