plan, you ll be able to keep your health care plan. period. well, it turns out that over 6 million people and counting have lost their plan under obamacare. congresswoman blackburn, you have worked in this area. you re from a state that tried something at the state level like this. that s right. you experienced it. we have experienced it first-hand, and i think that s why tennessee did not want to do the medicaid expansion, and it s also why they have said, you need to do everything you can to delay it, to repeal it, and to replace it. and my across state line purchase of health insurance bill is one of those options for replacement. and we have the american health care reform act, which is a comprehensive replacement for obamacare. it includes portability and across state line purchase and insurance accountabilities, and the opportunity for small businesses and individuals to experience that health care insurance deductibility just
statement you just made. one of the things that has been pointed out i m sure you re aware that john boehner does not hold a lot of votes that this congress has not only hasn t held a lot of votes and passed a lot of laws, even on republican priorities he doesn t seem to do that. you sponsored about 20 bills in according to the library of congress, and speaker boehner hasn t brought any of them to the floor even for your colleagues to vote on. does it bother you that the speaker doesn t seem to bring a lot of republican bills to the floor either? well, we would love to see some more of those brought forward. i ll give you two. one is across state line purchase of health insurance. and i hear on a bipartisan basis from people all over the country, they think that s an idea whose time has come. let people purchase what they want from wherever they want. another is the american health care reform act. we would love to see love to see some action on that. a bill that i introduced that
i have always said i will work with anybody to implement and improve this law effectively. you got good ideas? bring them to me. let s go. president obama has already signed six legislative changes to the health care law. he continues to publicly say critics of the law are not offering up any substantive alternatives. our next guest louisiana governor, chair of the republican committee has a hundred co-sponsors in the house and asked the president for the meeting so they can talk about this. he joins us now. welcome and have you gotten a response from the white house? shannon, good to be with you. unfortunately no, we haven t got any response back. we sent a letter to the president taking him up on his offer. he said, look, there are no alternatives out there and i will meet with anybody. we have an alternative. it is the american health care reform act. there are a hundred co-sponsors of the bill.
insurance thanks to obama care. in fact there are more people in colorado who have lost their health insurance than have signed up for obama care across this country. the president s bill is not working and it s time that we replace it with something that will work. that s why i support legislative solutions like the american health care reform act, ideas that will actually allow people to improve their insurance policies by increasing the quality of care, decreasing the cost of care and we ll continue to put those ideas and solutions forward. but what s happening around the country is the president s promises are being broken left an right. if you like your doctor, you re going to be able to keep it. we are seeing where this is not true. if you like your health care plan, we re seeing that isn t true. tell a skpconstituent of mine t it would lower the cost of health care because he s seeing a massive increase thanks to obama care. well, we ll wait and see as this moves forward. cong
