for responsible people to use their heads and not inflame the situation, not rush to judgment and then apply the facts and the evidence to the rule of law, and we have to accept the decision. we don t have to like the decision that comes out of these grand juries but we have to accept it. and until we start to do that you re going to continue to see this assault on our nation s finest, the american police officer. it happened in l.a. it happened in san francisco. it happened in new york. this is happening all across america. and that s why i say they need to stop laying this stuff at the foot of the american police officer. if we don t go who else is going to do it? who else is going into these crime-ridden areas, these american ghettos, trying to save other black people? is there a benign nondiscriminatory explanation for the data that has made so many headlines? you know the data that african-americans comprise 67% of the ferguson population but account for 85% of the car stops?
with hipsters but it is not going over real big with me. it is not going over real big with the american law enforcement officer. i need president of the united states and attorney general to remind young black men in american ghettos, they have an obligation to comply with the law enforcement officers lawful commands. if we want to end deadly encounters, it will be incumbent upon them stop fighting police, stop resisting arrest, stop engaging the police in foot pursuits. stop trying to disarm them. them. we finally did hear the president speak about the injured officers last night when he sad down with comedian jimmy kimmel. listen. i think what has been happening in ferguson was oppressive and on just shunnable. and was worthy of protest but there was no excuse for criminal acts. and, whoever fired those shots shouldn t detract from the issue, they re criminals. they need to be arrested.
statement that i have ever heard anybody make. we know what our law enforcement officers mean to our communities. we re not perfect, but we are community s finest. and only now that two officers are dead in new york two more shot last night in an unrelated type of situation. but it speaks to the danger of law enforcement in these american ghettos. now all of a sudden, they re trying to show some appreciation. but they re going to have to pay back that political capital they scored early on in this thing before any sort of repair in this relationship with every law enforcement agency across america is going to be able to begin. sheriff i was in incredulous at the news conference held by bill bratton and de blasio yesterday. once again bill de blasio. once again, he s out there trying to make the nypd the bad guys in all of this for turning their backs on him at the funeral. that turning of the back was an
says was a direct message from you to him. quote if only these faux protesters were asked by media about all the black-on-black killing or black babies aborted in the u.s. every year. a, is his reporting correct? did you send him that message? and b if so, what did you mean by it? yes i did. when i hear the things that black lives matter. the only people that really believe that statement are american police officer who is go into american ghettos every day to keep people from killing each other. yes, i did send that and i meant it. the abortion, black lives, if they really mattered that s where the outrage would be that s what we would see protests about. when you see the black-on-black homicide that happens on a very frequent basis, we don t see protests we don t see marches, we don t see demands for change. so this has been a one-way conversation that i m just trying to present a counternarrative to balance this thing. and so that we can have that discussion. but what i m sensing
