The time has come. One of the biggest parties in the Ark-La-Tex is making its grand return to the Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport. Mudbug Madness kicked off in 1984 as a two-day street festival in downtown Shreveport. Now Mudbug Madness is one of Louisiana’s largest Cajun festivals, with some of the best live music and mouth-watering Cajun cuisine, and cold beer.
Mudbug Madness is nationally recognized as one of the Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Events and the American Bus Association’s Top 100 Event in the nation. We are very proud of all the success of
Mudbug Madness. This year the dates are May 28th through May 30th from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
The
Mudbug Madness Festival is back on for this year. The festival will be held on May 28-30th this spring. The event was cancelled last year because of the pandemic. But Louisiana is now in Phase 3 and more festivals and events can be held.
Masks will be required and capacity is 50%. Beer will also be restricted to a beer garden area.
Mudbug Madness has been a staple in Shreveport since 1984. It was originally a 2 day festival but it s now a 3-day event held at festival plaza over Memorial Day weekend. It is now one of Louisiana’s largest and most popular Cajun festivals. You will get to hear some of the best Cajun, Zydeco, Blues and Jazz artists from all over our state.
