Ohio Senator J.D. Vance is spearheading an effort to split up the White House’s proposed supplemental funding package that combines assistance to Israel and Ukraine, according to a memo published by an American newspaper.
US President Joe Biden is asking Congress for nearly $106 billion in extra funding to provide further support to Ukraine, Israel, the Indo-Pacific region, as well as to fund operations on the US southern border, the White House Office of Management and Budget said in a document provided to Sputnik on Friday.
The US is the world leader in terms of foreign assistance allocation. Over the past two decades, Washington has sponsored various activities all over the world, interfering with elections, encouraging civil unrest, meddling in other nations domestic affairs.
