The ruling Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State and the All Progressives Congress are embroiled in conflict over the decision of Governor Seyi Makinde to travel abroad despite the spate of insecurity in the state.
The Pacesetter Initiative, a group within the APC in the state, said the governor’s trip to the United States of America Oyo APC, PDP trade words over Seyi Makinde’s foreign trip at a time when the state was experiencing security challenges, was evident of his level of insensitivity.
The APC group in a statement signed by its Coordinator, Afeez Bolaji Repete, and Director of Organisation, Olawale Sadare, described the decision as the height of insensitivity and ineptitude.
