I was entirely unsurprised that MTG and her fellow travelers would endorse the basic America First agenda, appalling though it is. But what caught my eye was the second bit quoted in the article: On infrastructure, the caucus calls for the construction of roads, bridges and buildings that reflect “the architectural, engineering and aesthetic value that befits the progeny of European architecture, whereby public infrastructure must be utilitarian as well as stunningly, classically beautiful, befitting a world power and source of freedom.” What is it with the sudden obsession with architecture? Most Trump supporters think his gold-slathered abominations are the epitome of class, and wouldn’t know a Greek Revival building if it fell on them. Cruz Addresses Rioters Who Raided His Desk: Terrorist Attack

Asked to address the men who rifled through his desk during unrest in Washington, D.C., Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) reiterated his condemnation of those who infiltrated the Capitol, saying they engaged in a “terrorist attack.” “I think it was a terrorist attack on the Capitol, and it was despicable, and anyone who committed acts of violence should be fully prosecuted and should go jail for a long time,” Cruz said in a statement to the Washington Examiner.  Video captured by The New Yorker during the breach of the Capitol on Jan. 6 showed rabble-rousers including Cruz’s office in their raid for “evidence” to use against members of Congress and concluding Cruz would have “wanted” them to do it:
