DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (KFGO KDLM) – Becker County Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution to become a 2nd Amendment Dedicated County, Tuesday.
Commissioner Ben Grimsley asked the county to consider the request in February after a resident voiced his concerns about gun control legislation that has been talked about on a Federal level since the November election.
A number of counties in Minnesota including Wadena, Wright and Clearwater have already adopted Second Amendment resolutions which prohibits the enforcement of gun control legislation.
Though the commission approved the resolution unanimously, not all in attendance were in favor of the resolution.
