Featuring more than 200 competitors from 10 of New Orleans’ favorite dance krewes, the free outdoor event will feature celebrity judges, live DJ music, giveaways and some of the best dance moves this side of the Mississippi. “New Orleans boasts some 45 dance and marching groups that participate in Mardi Gras parades, the Krewe of BOO and other local events. The Halfway to Halloween Dance-Off is a great time to see them perform together, and we think it’s a great event to get a taste of the creativity and sense of fun and community that is a part of every troupe,” said Brian Kern, chief spookster for the Krewe of BOO! parade and event founder.
