FLINT S Coastguard Rescue Team joined a multi-agency response to an incident on the Wirral. The team was called just before 12.45pm on Monday to assist colleagues from Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team with reports of two people stuck in the mud at the base of a cliff near Dee Sailing Club, Thurstaston. A spokesman for the team said: On scene, Coastguard Rescue Mud Technicians got kitted up to make their way to the casualties, along with Hoylake Hovercraft and Fire and Rescue. Shortly after, the first casualty was freed but the second casualty had injured their leg and would take the careful efforts from rescue crews to free without causing further pain or injury to the casualty.
