UK-based Amberley Labels has invested in a Kurz DM-Jetliner featuring the new Digital Metal technology enabling ink transfer onto paper and plastic substrates to support continued growth in premium finishing in the beverage, fragrance and cosmetics sectors.
Located at Amberley’s Blandford facility in Dorset, the foil jetliner is integrated within an HP Indigo 6000 series press for added in-line digital foiling capability to create custom and multiple color varieties within a single label.
The Digital Metal technology utilizes digital inkjet adhesion combined with a silver base for in-line indigo ink application to enable new color foil options. According to Kurz, it also delivers significant sustainable benefits achieved via reduced originations and metallic rationalization.
